What is Fineo Vacuum Glazing?
The vacuum removes almost all air between the panes, virtually eliminating heat transfer through conduction and convection. Tiny, almost invisible support pillars keep the panes separated against atmospheric pressure, while the perimeter is hermetically sealed to maintain the vacuum for the lifetime of the unit.
The result is a glazing unit that is remarkably slim yet delivers thermal insulation comparable to, or better than, many much thicker modern double glazed units.

Exceptional Thermal Performance
Key performance benefits include:
· Excellent thermal insulation with centre pane U-values as low as 0.4 W/m²K.
· Complete glazing units can achieve exceptionally low overall U-values when combined with high-performance timber frames.
· Helps reduce heat loss and lower heating costs.
· Improves internal comfort by creating warmer internal glass surfaces.
· Reduces cold spots and draughts near windows.
· Can contribute towards improving a property’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating.

Ideal for Heritage & Conservation Projects
Traditional double glazed units are typically 24mm or 28mm thick, whereas Fineo units are much thinner. This allows them to fit into traditional timber glazing bars and historic sash window profiles that would otherwise only accept single glazing.
This makes Fineo an excellent solution for:
· Listed buildings
· Conservation areas
· Historic properties
· Traditional timber sash windows
· Slim glazing bar designs
· Faithful period window reproductions
Because the glazing is so slim, original window proportions can often be maintained far more accurately than with conventional double glazing.
Improved Acoustic Performance
As well as reducing heat loss, Fineo vacuum glazing also offers excellent acoustic insulation.
The vacuum cavity helps reduce the transmission of external noise, creating a quieter and more comfortable living environment, particularly beneficial for properties near busy roads, railways or urban areas.
Condensation Reduction
Because the internal pane remains significantly warmer than traditional single glazing, Fineo helps reduce internal condensation during colder months.
This not only improves comfort but can also help protect timber windows and surrounding finishes from excess moisture.
